Tammy Herbert-Veterinary Nurse
Favourite Coffee Order: Not a coffee gal, a diet coke for me please!
After finishing school and completing a diploma in horse management, I worked on a couple of large horse studs on the Mornington Peninsula. We then moved to the Sunshine Coast where I continued to work with race horses before gaining a position as a vet nurse in a small animal clinic.
I live on a beautiful property with my husband, daughter, and a menagerie of animals. We have 5 horses, ranging from a high-spirited blond Warmblood/Arab to a cheeky – impossible to keep in – Shetland pony. Our fur kids also include 2 chihuahuas, Jewel and Peppi, who surprisingly make great farm dogs, 4 huge cows and a noisy parrot.
I have always had a love of animals and the main benefit of working as a vet nurse is we get to spend our days with animals and like- minded people. Each and every day is different and exciting. I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to become a vet nurse and to this day still love it as much as when I first started.
Weekends are spent mowing, horse riding and spending time with family and friends.
